The Michigan Rehabilitation and Research Corporation is a non-profit organization that provides monthly discover over dinner opportunities for local health care practitioners. These programs offer the opportunity to obtain continuing education credits (CE) for many health care professionals (e.g. social workers, rehabilitation counselors, and case managers) while learning information about a variety of interesting and clinically relevant topics. MRRC also provides food and refreshments for attendees during our in-person events. To date, MRRC has completed programs on advanced psychotherapeutic delivery systems and diversity in mental health We’ve had programs related to weight loss and maintenance, the utilization of Cannabis in treatment, the grief process, and bias in decision-making. We began 2020 with a talk on preventing burn-out, employment following traumatic brain injury, coordination of patient services, psychopharmacology for mental health practitioners, psychogenic non-epileptic seizures and the utilization of neuroimaging and neuropsychological testing in the diagnosis of dementias.
