About The Events

Ms. Shelton is a graduate of Michigan State University, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work in 1999, and a Master’s degree in Rehabilitation Counseling in 2001. Ms. Shelton’s professional certifications Include: Certified Rehabilitation Counselor, and Certified Worker’s Compensation Professional. Ms. Shelton is also a Licensed Professional Counselor. Ms. Shelton’s professional organization affiliations Include: National Rehabilitation Association, International Association of Rehabilitation Providers in the Private Sector, and American Association of University Women.

Ms. Shelton, is an expert in the area of vocational rehabilitation, assessment of vocational readiness and potential, career development, return to work planning following health or work injury, work adjustment counseling, cases where employment is in jeopardy due to physical or mental health conditions, vocational case management and care coordination to facilitate return to work, disability management, and forensic evaluation of current employment access and wage earning ability.

Ms. Shelton is versed in auto no-fault, workers’ compensation, and disability laws, as they relate to vocational rehabilitation, or employment of Individuals following an injury, and provides vocational expert witness services in workers’ compensation, auto no-fault, and divorce proceedings.

Ms. Shelton is also a vocational expert for the Social Security Administration, Office of Disability Adjudication and Review.
